| Raising Hope - Serving the Needs of Foster Children |
Jeanne Davis serves on the Board of Directors for Raising Hope , Inc., a private, not-for-profit organization based in Pinellas County, FL. Raising Hope maintains a resource room of inventory, which allows each child entering the foster care system to be provided a duffle bag filled with clothing, new socks, underwear, shoes, and age appropriate toiletry items. These duffle bags let a child arrive at their foster home with their own belongings and a sense of pride and dignity. This service also assists the Case Managers in placing the child in emergency situations, since the child is arriving at the foster home with their own clothing and toiletry items. Through the many donations and volunteer hours spent by the caring citizens of our community, Raising Hope services the emergency needs of more than 1,500 foster children annually.
