Congratulations to GTE Federal Credit Union for their 1999 Annual Repor t designed by Sunray Graphic Solutions . “Expanding Technology, Committing to Service” was the message chosen by marketing coordinator Shannon Walsh to describe GTE Federal Credit Union in this annual report. This theme was appropriate as this year saw the introduction of the new and improved web site, www.gtefcu.org which offered members expanded online services such as home banking and brokerage trading. The message of technology and service combined, was reinforced visually by computer images blended with people photos. Multiple layers and softened edges made this complex image work as a background for the front cover and as a repeated element on the text pages. To further promote the web site and its relationship to the theme, an emboss of www.gtefcu.org added depth and interest to the front cover. The double saddle-stitch format of this piece allowed the financial section to be separated from the report section in the front. This also allowed for 2 stocks to be used; bright white gloss for the front works well with the color photos, while the light blue text for the financials was selected to develop design continuity in carrying through the light blue background used in the 4/color section. A translucent flysheet separates cover, text, and financial sections. Congratulations to GTE Federal Credit Union and Sunray Graphic Solutions for their outstanding work!
